With Winter here and Valentines Day right around the corner, I thought that it would be the perfect time to share with you guys some of my favorite activities. However, with Christmas and the New Year, you might have spent more money that you wanted to on gifts, so here’s the twist : why not try having frugal fun ?

Even if it is always nice to go out and treat yourself to a nice cup of coffee, or a dinner with friends, or even a movie, I would like to remind you of the possibility to spend time with your loved one without having to spend a dime. More fun for less money : now how does that sound ?

Go out to think more clearly


I have always been the kind of person that stays at home, and is happy to. I mean, when I was little, it was the normal thing to do and in any case my mum would not really let me go out without knowing it in advance.

However, when I left my parents’ house and went to live abroad, one might have thought that I would have taken advantage of it. Nevertheless, I did not. Well, to be fair, I did my (more than fair) share of partying (I mean, I was 18 in the UK !) but I now realize that I did not fully take advantage of the city I was living in at the time.

Have an inspiring morning ! My ritual affirmations and mantras


Good morning everyone !

Today for a change, I just want to share with you some of my favorite mantras. They are short, inspiring, and can be read whenever you feel like it. I personally like stumbling upon them when I’m browsing through my notebook (it contains my to do list which I check a million time every day so it’s really convenient for me), but it is also good to read them out loud either just after waking up to set your day on an inspiring note, or before bed.

Book review #7: N’éteins pas la lumière by Bernard Minier (2014)
